Tennis Block Party

Racine CTA's Tennis Block Party is on Saturday, May 23rd from 1-3pm. It will take place at Lockwood Park and it will be the last day that kids can sign up for the Racine 10 & Under Midwest Youth Team Tennis program.

Racine 10 & Under Midwest Youth Team Tennis

Registration is now OPEN for the Racine 10 & under Midwest Youth Team Tennis League!

Register now for the Racine 10 & under Midwest Youth Team Tennis League. Practices and matches will take place at Lockwood Park on Thursday evenings from June 18-August 6 at the following times:

6-8 year olds: 6-6:45 pm
9-10 year olds: 7-8 pm

All particpants will receive an age appropriate racquet, foam or pressurless ball, team uniform, activity book, water bottle, stickers, temporary tatoos, wrist bands, and a birthday card. Tennis Outing - June 5th

All Saints Foundation is inviting players of all levels to attend the 7th Annual Tennis Outing and Dinner, Friday June 5, at the Racine Country Club. Registration begins at 2 pm followed by games at 2:30 pm (matched or mixed doubles teams). Nonplayers may attend the fiesta to follow tennis at the club. Cocktails will be served at 5:30 pm and a festive Mexican buffet dinner will follow.

USTA Tennis Mixer

USTA is sponsoring a tennis mixer at Kenosha East Side on April 4 from 6-9 pm and it is open to tennis players and the public. There will be a racket rep there so people can try the latest rackets. Food and play for all levels.

RCTA receives grant from Midwest Youth Tennis & Education Foundation

The Racine Community Tennis Association has received a $2500 grant from the Midwest Youth Tennis & Education Foundation to help assist with the Midwest Youth Team Tennis 10 & under program in the summer of 2009. Established in 1992, the Midwest Youth Tennis & Education Foundation Inc. (MYTEF) is dedicated to supporting youth tennis programs and activities throughout the USTA/Midwest Section. As the charitable and philanthropic entity of the USTA/Midwest Section, its mission is: “To develop the life skills of youth through tennis and education”.

Racine to host new 10 & under team tennis league in summer of 2009

Racine, WI has been selected as a 2009 10 & under Midwest Team Tennis market by the USTA Midwest Section using the Quickstart tennis format. They are one of five communities selected in Wisconsin for this year. Other markets for 2009 include Manitowoc, Sun Prairie, Sheboygan, and Western Kenosha County. In 2008, there were a total of 41 markets across the Midwest including Watertown, Waukesha, Oshkosh, Lodi, and the Brookfield/Elm Grove areas. Participant in the program will be put on teams and will receive an age appropriate racket, foam or pressure less ball, team uniform, an enrollment card to Ace's Kids Club, a water bottle, wrist bands, an activity book, temporary tattoos, stickers, an achievement card, and a birthday card.
